Alpha SAR is a Search and Rescue team based in Houston, TX serving the greater Houston, Galveston, and surrounding areas in the search for missing persons. All members of Alpha SAR are 100% volunteers and are highly trained and certified by local and national agencies. We do train canines to aid in search and rescue, but not all members have canines. We also have flankers, man-trackers, mapping specialists, and UAV surveillance.
Mission: The purpose of Alpha SAR is to train, certify, and provide search and rescue resources to assist with search and rescue efforts for lost and missing persons, without charge, to Federal, State, and Local Government Agencies.
