Volunteering is an amazing way to help our patients, families and caregivers. We have volunteers that assist with personal interests and hobbies, patient companionship, professional volunteers (i.e. barbers, hairdressers, massage therapist), administrative volunteers and bereavement volunteers.
Due to recognition of personal needs and business needs following bereavement, it is recommended that persons wait at least one year following a loved one's death to serve as a hospice volunteer.
Mission: The mission of Buckner Hospice is to provide compassionate care and increase the quality of life by offering comfort and support to patients and their loved ones in the final days and moments of life.
