The AnBryce Foundation (ON PAUSE FOR FALL 2023)

The AnBryce Foundation provides multiple settings for youth to become confident thinkers by providing an environment that stimulates the curiosity for learning and the discovery of the self. The Saturday Institute is an intensive academic and social experience for participants. Through long-term academic and leadership enrichment that equips them to excel in school, in relationships, and in facing challenges while having fun, the AnBryce Foundation instills in each youth the confidence to become successful in post-secondary endeavors and prepares them to play an active role in improving their communities and the world.

For Love of Children

Nearly 75% of DC students perform at or below basic levels in reading and math. YOU can change that! For Love of Children's one-on-one tutoring program helps students achieve grade-level competency in reading and math. In just 22 hours of tutoring, students improve an average of 1 year in reading and math skills while gaining confidence in their abilities. We need your help! Training in our structured curricula and ongoing professional support from staff is provided, so no experience is necessary. We hope you'll join us in our mission to teach, empower, and transform the lives of students in DC this year!

Higher Achievement

Higher Achievement is a four-year, year-round academic enrichment program guaranteeing equal access to success in both school and life. Our organization's mission is to develop academic skills, behaviors, and attitudes in under-served middle school youth to improve their grades, test scores, attendance, and opportunities. GW tutors serve as Mentors or Study Hall Aides for 5th or 6th-grade students. Mentors teach a small group in a core academic subject, Math, Literature, or an Elective Seminar. Study Hall Aids help with homework after school. We provide curriculum, comprehensive training, and on-site support. You provide the commitment and the love of learning!

Reading Partners

Reading Partners provides an opportunity and space for GW students to give a fraction of their time each week to tutor an elementary school student one-on-one in reading using a structured and easy-to-follow curriculum. One-on-one instruction at the student's reading level provides the opportunity for individualized academic attention and a healthy learning relationship with you, the volunteer. With the help of caring tutors, nearly 90% of students Reading Partners serves are able to improve their progress in reading.
