Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy

About

Description
The Greenway is 1.5 mile long 15 acre ribbon of organically managed parks in the heart of Boston. The Greenway serves as the roof of the Central Artery tunnel that was the result of the Big Dig Project which has fundamentally transformed downtown Boston.

The Greenway Conservancy maintains and operates the Greenway through an agreement with the State of Masschusetts, which owns the Greenway and the tunnel beneath it.

We maintain the landscape organically, host hundreds of events and programs each year and welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors, residents and workers 365 days a year!

Mission: The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a ribbon of contemporary urban parks that connects people and the city of Boston by providing beauty, fun, and a sense of community in the heart of downtown.
