YWCA North Shore Rape Crisis Center

About

The North Shore Rape Crisis Center provides services to all survivors of sexual assault ages 12 years old and older, and to their significant others. We welcome survivors of all genders, orientations, abilities, economic status, spiritual/religious affiliation, regardless of documentation.

All our services are free and confidential, including: 24-hour Hotline (800-922-8772), individual counseling, support groups, going with you to the hospital, police station, or court, and community education.

Volunteers attend our 40hr Rape Crisis Counselor training prior to the start of their service. No prior experience is necessary, however survivors and significant others of survivors are encouraged to apply. Trainings are offered several times a year - our next training will take place Tuesday/Thursday evenings and weekends during the last two weeks of February 2013. Visit our website for exact dates/times and to receive an application, or contact us for more information: 781.477.2313, volunteer@nsrcc.org

Mission: Our mission is to provide sexual assault survivors and their loved ones with support, resources, and the freedom to determine the course of their own healing process. We also aim to raise awareness and engage the community in preventing future assaults.
