Middlesex County RSVP/Mystic Valley Elder Services, Inc.

RSVP is one of three national Senior Corp programs under the umbrella of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Middlesex County RSVP is authorized to engage volunteers age 55 and older, applying their skills and life experiences to high impact programs that provide literacy tutoring for struggling students, safe independence for elders and adults living with disabilities, and other critical assistance. Middlesex County RSVP communities include: Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, Cambridge, Everett, Lexington, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Waltham, Watertown, Winchester, and Woburn. Sponsor Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) is a nonprofit organization that since 1975 has acted as an entry point through which elders, families, caregivers, and health care professionals can access a wide variety of programs, services, and supports. MVES is one of the largest in a network of 27 similar aging services organizations in Massachusetts. MVES promotes safe, independence for elders and adults living with disabilities in eight cities and towns north of Boston.

Mission: Middlesex County RSVP has the dual mission of engaging persons 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and providing a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers. Mystic Valley Elder Services, sponsor for Middlesex County RSVP since 1996, supports the right of elders and adults living with disabilities to live independently and with dignity in a setting of their own choice by providing information, advice, and access to quality services and resources.
