Jewish Vocational Service Transitions to Work

Combined Jewish Philanthropies, the Ruderman Family Foundation and Jewish Vocational Service are working in partnership to provide a new program called Transitions to Work.

The Transitions to Work Program focuses on creating new employment opportunities for young adults with a disability. The program provides classroom instruction, skills training and internships for participants. All classes are run by JVS instructors at the employer site. Students gain hands-on work experience by participating in internships that are relevant to real jobs.

The goal of The Transitions to Work Program is to prepare students for work and to assist them in obtaining employment upon completion of the program.

Mission: Our mission is to empower individuals from diverse communities to find employment and build careers, and to partner with employers to hire, develop, and retain productive workforces.
