Description
The following major programs help us to meet our mission: OUTPATIENT ADOLESCENT & FAMILY SERVICES - services offered include substance use evaluations, individual and group counseling, family counseling, intensive outpatient counseling, outreach for homeless youth, case management for youth; JUVENILE JUSTICE PROGRAMS - Day One provides substance use evaluations and a comprehensive array of treatment services at the Long Creek Youth Development Facility and Mountain View Youth Development Facility; RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAM - a six month treatment program offering an intensive therapeutic community for up to 13 youth ages 13-18 from throughout Maine; in addition we also offer graduates of the Residential program an AFTERCARE program providing assistance and support relating to recovery issues, housing, employment and meeting day-to-day challenges of their new lifestyles; PREVENTION SERVICES - Day One's prevention programs include the NATURAL HELPERS of Maine program, which trains a network of peer listeners in several Maine high schools each year. Additional PREVENTION programs include technical assistance to community groups working to address substance use issues.
