VNA Hospice Care programs provide patients with the opportunity to live life to the last moment with dignity and free of pain. For family members and friends, hospice care provides courage and guidance to accompany their loved ones on this ultimate journey.
VNA Hospice Care, formerly Hospic Care, Inc., was founded in 1979, in borrowed space and staffed only by volunteers. Today, VNAHC's staff includes a Medical Director, Clinicians, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Home Health Aides, Chaplains, Social Workers and over 60 volunteers. We now serve patients and families in over 40 communities in greater Boston including Winchester, Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, Winchester, Woburn, and Stoneham, as well as south of Boston including Braintree, Quincy, Milton, and Weymouth.
Mission: To provide comprehensive multidisciplinary services to patients and families facing the challenges of life-limiting illness.
