Multnomah Education Service District Outdoor School

About

Outdoor school teaches sixth grade students about the natural sciences so they can use that information as adults to become knowledgeable citizens and voters. These sixth graders spend a week living and learning in a residential camp setting with their sixth grade class. We serve approximately 7000 sixth graders a year, in either the fall or spring of their sixth grade year. We use adult volunteers to provide individual support for those students who have special needs, so that they will be included with their peers at Outdoor School.
