Albertina Kerr's Port City - ProjectGrow

ProjectGrow is a unique non-profit program encompassing an art studio, gallery and urban farm. PG provides various job opportunities and endless possibilities in artistic media as a daytime program serving individuals with developmental disabilities. The organic farm cultivates produce and eggs to sell to local businesses and for CSAs, while teaching individuals about farming and animal husbandry. Additionally, a garden of native dye plants is maintained for use in fiber arts along with two fiber goats named Salt & Pepa. The studio provides the tools and materials to work in fiber arts, ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, and any creative fancy which may arise. Curated by PG, the Port City Gallery, houses a variety of exhibitions and events including visual art, performances, workshops and presentations. PG is a multifaceted entity focusing on care, artistic promotion, meaningful work, and independence.
