Grassland Heritage Foundation

About

Description
Tallgrass prairies once dominated the mid-section of the country ranging from Canada to Mexico. Today less than 4% of the original 40 million acres of tallgrass prairie exist, most of that in Kansas. The Grassland Heritage Foundation (GHF) is devoted to the preservation and restoration of the remaining tallgrass prairie and education about prairie ecology.

The Grassland Heritage Foundation preserves tallgrass prairie in Northeast Kansas through education, stewardship, and land protection.
