Meta House is a public charity, or non-profit organization, and we rely on public- and private-sector support to fund our work. We were one of the first residential treatment facilities in the country designed specifically for women with substance use disorders, and have been providing trauma-informed, family-centered and gender-responsive treatment for over 50 years. Meta House was also one of the first in the nation to include children in the residential setting. While the cornerstone of our program is substance abuse treatment, we also offer parenting, vocational and educational services to our clients and a host of services for their children. This holistic approach ensures that as mom gets well, her entire family has the tools to successfully adapt to a life in recovery.
