Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Federation

WSCF was founded in 2004 by current Executive Director Bob Patterson-Sumwalt. There are currently 7 board members and the board meets 4 times per year. The work at chess tournaments are done by many volunteers and through out the state we have volunteers at each tournament.

WSCF promotes chess as an educational tool through out Wisconsin. We help local clubs host chess tournaments at their schools and churches. We host statewide tournaments specialized tournaments. We have a chess school where we teach at local schools and also host classes at the Milwaukee Center for Non-Profits to teach adults how to teach chess and to lead effective chess clubs. In the summer we lead chess camps in Milwaukee County Parks.
