The Parenting Network



Since 1977, The Parenting Network has served families within the greater Milwaukee community. Our mission is to strengthen parenting and to prevent child abuse. We also offer programming to empower youth to make healthy choices. Programs are offered: IN HOMES; Healthy Families Milwaukee; a voluntary case management program that serves new and expectant parents using the Healthy Families America model ? HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters): a school readiness program that empowers parents to prepare their 3, 4, and 5 year old children for success in school IN SCHOOLS ? Promoting Health Among Teens + RELATE, 8th grade & high school (abstinence/sexual health education) ? Making Proud Choices + RELATE, 8th grade & high school (comprehensive sexual health education) ? LifeSkills, for middle and high school students, promoting health and personal development for success in school and after graduation ? Pregnant & Parenting Youth Program (PPYP) in partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools IN THE COMMUNITY ? PARENT HELPLINE, a confidential listening line for caregivers of children providing support, problem solving, information and referrals ? Group Facilitation Skills Training prepares professionals and volunteers to facilitate parenting and youth education groups. ? Parenting Education and Support Programs utilize evidence-based curricula in community-based group settings targeting specific parent populations
