The Wilbur D. May Arboretum & Botanical Garden is located within Rancho San Rafael Park. Interpreters of the Arboretum is a group made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about nature, education, and connecting visitors to the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Our mission is to inspire visitors, and support the arboretum's educational programming. The May Arboretum is a collection of plant communities from around the globe, and is the jewel of Reno, NV. Rich plant diversity and garden layouts, make it an ideal location for environmental education of all ages. We currently offer programming for early childhood education, elementary school field trips, middle school field trips, older adults, families, and special events. All that is required to volunteer is a zeal for nature and a desire to inspire others!
