Environmental Action Group of SC

As a local non profit, grassroots organization, The Environmental Action Group's mission is to cultivate a more sustainable lifestyle within the Orangeburg community through education, experiential learning, and equitable development.

As a club on the campus of South Carolina State University, We are a diverse mix of students who understand the difference that we are to make not only at our university but within our community as well. The common thread in our commitment is to always be a part of the solution and not the problem.

Not only do we TAKE ACTION to preserve the world around us, we also aspire to enlighten others through social engagement. While understanding the current environment we live in today's society, we have the mentality to TAKE ACTION on issues relevant to our community.

Our University will only be as great as the surrounding community we are in. With this mentality, it is our objective to instill such a pride among and within our students to be the change they wish to see on and off the campus of South Carolina State University. Providing opportunities of engagement through community service and workshops that promote general wellbeing, The Environmental Action Club aspires to inspire students, faculty, staff and the community to be the change they wish to see in this world.
