Reason To Give provides families, schools, and organizations in Chicagos Humboldt Park community with basic necessities. Our Live and Learn Adult Education Initiative is a 10-month program of workshops that focus on life skills.
Reason to Give also hosts several events open to the community, including a Back-to-School and Holiday event. Each year Reason to Give has taken on a special project within the Humboldt Park community, from rebuilding a library or raising funds for a school orchestra. In April 2012, we embarked on our largest project to date, a complete home renovation project for the Singleton family.
Mission: Reason To Gives goal is to ease the financial burden put on families, schools, and organizations in Humboldt Park, by providing basic needs and resources. Reason To Give believes strongly in seeking sustainable solutions to the financial strains placed on the community. We also believe that by providing community members with the tools and knowledge to better their own lives, we empower our participants to find their own path to success in the future.
