About
Local older adults 60 years and older and children under the age of 18 years are invited to attend a new program offered by the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Clyde Park District and the Town of Cicero, sponsored by AgeOptions. Healthy meals will be served each weekday. Mea;s are low-sodium, low-sugar and include complex carbohydrates, protein, fresh fruit and vegetables.
In addtion to a well balanced meal, children and older adults will participate in an activity together each day. Activities may include BINGO, Yahtzee, educational games, crafts and appropriate physical activites and nutritional education.
Program time is 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday excluding holidays.
Mission: It is the mission of the Clyde Park District to promote healthy lifestyles through recreational programs, facilities, and services. We foster strong partnerships with the community and schools by involving them in park improvement projects and the development of classes and enrichment for all people of all ages, races, religions and social backgrounds.
