I-CARE stands for Improved Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation Efforts and is part of the Nassau County Regional Emergency Medical Service's Council which is turn is part of the New York State Department of Health.
Mission: I-CARE's mission is to increase the number of people who survive cardiac arrests in Nassau County New York. This will be done through efforts in the prehospital setting. I-CARE's plan is to utilize county, town and community organizations by:1. Empowering each to implement specific key interventions2. Coordinating these efforts into one seamless system3. Implementing measures to ensure both short and long term success of the program
