| Description | Dedicated group of volunteers working to right the wrongs of poverty and injustice. Mission: Oxfam Action Corps NYC is a part of the Oxfam America Action Corps - a group of dedicated volunteers working across the country to fight the effects of climate change on the world's poorest communities. The impacts of climate change around the world - from floods to droughts to disease - will disproportionately affect poor, vulnerable communities who are least responsible for creating the problem. We believe there is a human face to the climate change problem and we are a new constituency in the climate debate. We want to help spur strong action on climate change and underscore the critical importance of addressing peoples' needs in our climate response. |
