Description
Covenant House is a non-profit agency providing crisis care, food, shelter, clothing, medical services, counseling, transitional living, substance abuse prevention and treatment, mental health services, educational opportunities, vocational training and other services to homeless youth under 21 years of age. Faith Community is a full time volunteer program where individuals can spend 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months serving the youth of Covenant House. College degree or relevent work experience is needed . Our volunteers receive room and board, medical coverage, and a small weekly stipend. Covenant Houses that currently have a Faith Community are New York, NY; Atlantic City, NJ; Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

That commitment calls us to serve suffering children of the street,and to protect and safeguard all children.Just as Christ in his humanity is the visible sign of God's presence among the people, our efforts together in the covenant communityare a visible sign that effects the presence of God,working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our kids.
