John Greenleaf Whittier Education Campus is located in Ward 4, Northwest Washington, D.C. Our school serves nearly 400 students in grades Pre-School through 8. Whittier is a STEM catalyst school. Our school is designed around science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We engage students in rich and rigorous STEM learning, set high expectations for their participation and performance, prepare them for success in college and careers, and encourage the pursuit of advanced STEM careers. Whittier uses a team approach for instruction where teachers work collaboratively. Student performance is monitored and instruction is modified to meet their individual needs.
