Volunteers will plan and teach a series of related lessons for a wide age range focusing on physical movement and health. Can be separated into two to three spaces based on activity or age group. Effectively motivate changes in health behavior, utilize health assessment tools to plan, implement and evaluate health promotion programs among diverse populations in a community setting twice a week. Parents and guardians will be dancing and their dependents will have options to stay in the children’s program or go dance (after 45 minutes of exercise, parents and children will come together for a brief nutritional demonstration and sample food).
Plan for the following ages 2-16. Space: 1 fenced in outside yard; 1 childcare room; 1 multi-purpose room.
Assessments: Biometric and nutritional literacy tests will be given every three months by other student. However we can share these data EDEL students to interpret both quantitatively and qualitatively.
