El Segundo Run For Education

Featuring a moderate coastal climate and a tour of both El Segundo and its schools, it's small town Americana at its best. The 5K Run/Walk is an easy-to-moderate hill course while the 10K Run offers up slightly modified 2nd loop. As a family friendly event the Run continues to be community focused and youth orientated. From the long standing tradition of awarding medals to all participants under 12 (now expanded to all runners), to the practice of inviting local youth sporting groups to join in the race activities the Run is a much anticipated event for all involved.Overall winners plus 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in all mens and womens age groups receive Run For Education medals. Finisher medals are also available for all while supplies last.

Mission: Entering it's 23rd consecutive year the Run For Education continues to be a major fundraiser for El Segundo's K-12 public schools. Managed by the El Segundo PTA Council the family-friendly event routinely see's a healthy turn out from local families, as well as, the greater South Bay running community who come out each year to support its' cause.
