Nature and Purpose of Agency
Maple Grove Cemetery is a, 65-acre cemetery located in Kew Gardens. The not-for-profit, non-sectarian Maple Grove Cemetery Association, which operates the cemetery, was organized in 1875. Over the years, Maple Grove has played a key role in the development of local Queens County communities. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, they are actively exploring our past and the lives of those who have been laid to rest here. The Board Members of the Friends of Maple Grove are a volunteer group that works to enhance the historical aspect of the 140 year old cemetery. They have many seasonal events, programs and workshops throughout the year and are always looking for assistance.
Tasks Available for Students
Assistance is needed at the events, concerts, workshops etc (Dates for these seasonal events will be listed on the website calendar. www.friendsofmaplegrove.org
