Neighbors Empowering Youth (NEY)



Neighbors Empowering Youth exists exclusively as a charitable, non-profit service agency to assist young adults in the Pasadena and Altadena communities, particularly at-risk youth, obtain the skills necessary to complete in todays technological workplace. For more than a dozen years, Neighbors Empowering Youth has served the Northwest Pasadena/Altadena area with distinction, helping to bring hope to underserved youth ages 16-24 by bridging the digital divide. Partnering with the Pasadena Unified School District, foundations and local nonprofit service organizations, Neighbors Empowering Youth has also served the broader community by providing technology and training to low income families.

Mission: To provide computers and computer training to the under-served youth of the North-West Pasadena and Altadena communities who are especially vulnerable to the effects of poverty, crime, gang involvement, unemployment and are at academic risk; and to build the skills and knowledge needed to advance their studies and to help them function and contribute in a technologically rich society.
