About
For over a hundred years, the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemens Fund has served the unique needs of Los Angeles firefighters as they risk their lives in the line of duty. When tragedy strikes, firefighters and their spouses can find themselves in the position of being unable to pay their bills and support their children. WODFF provides assistance to widows so they will be able to afford the housing, food, and clothing that they and their families need. Additionally, the fund offers support for firefighters who have become injured or disabled performing their duty, including those who have suffered from burns and other wounds, employment-related cancers, and respiratory problems. Widows and Orphans provides firefighter families in need with financial assistance, durable medical equipment and supplies, counseling assistance, scholarships, and assistance with funeral arrangements.
