Programs that benefit from volunteers:
LAEP's Career Academies program offers opportunities to provide job shadows, participate in mock interviews or become a guest speaker for high school students who engage in a rigorous college-prep education through an industry-themed learning experience.
LAEP's Community School Initiative engages participants in ongoing efforts to improve schools, garner and coordinate community resources, and build powerful social networks that strengthen schools and their communities. LAEP's work helps schools develop effective outreach strategies, and supports collaborative planning activities engaging parents in school reform. Volunteer to be part of this effective strategy in San Fernando High School, Sylmar High School, Fremont High School, San Fernando Middle School or Edison Middle School.
Mission: L.A. Education Partnership's mission is to help students in high-need public schools improve their academic achievement through collaborative partnerships with educators, parents, and the community.
