BDF will commit to:

Provide continuity for the success of the volunteer programProvide a welcoming environment in which you can work

Inform Volunteers about their tasksEncourage Volunteers' initiatives and celebrate their effortsProvide resources and tools for the projects you are working onProvide a support network for you in your activitiesHelp you understand the amount and types of work required for a given volunteer opportunityProvide references and/or Certificates of Participation upon request.

Volunteers will commit to:

Respect BDF procedures and standardsPerform assigned tasks to the best of their abilityUphold professionalismWork cooperatively with BDF and other volunteersSeek clarification when necessaryBe a good representative of BDF and our mission while volunteeringEducate yourself about the issues we are working onWork with us to find volunteer opportunities that fit your interests and skillsLet us know in advance if you cannot show up for a volunteer opportunity that you committed to

Note: It is important that as a volunteer you are realistic about the amount of time that you can offer BDF and what you are unable to handle. Volunteering with BDF should be a positive experience; however this may not be possible if your commitments outweigh the amount of time or energy that you have available.
