The book-lovers dream place! Filled with over 12,000 books on subjects you won't find in the public library! Lots of books on conspiracies and secret societies, indigenous and shamanic societies, many New Age gurus, teachers and cults, spiritual healings, energy work, astrology, new physics and alternative science, alternative health, including acupuncture, Reiki, herbalism, the quantum mind, and mind-body research etc.
The Seattle Metaphysical Library was founded in 1961 by three retired school teachers, who donated their libraries, and served as trustees of the collection. Since then, many more people have found their way to the library, and filled the shelves with books.
We have no affiliation, but carry material by published by many sectarian organizations.
We have a list of material on our website.
We also carry magazines, CDs, DVDs, audio tapes and video tapes.
Mission: A non-profit, non-affiliated library and resource center dedicated to personal transformation and the evolving global consciousness by providing access to metaphysical, rare and unusual material, and to promote the education of humankind through the study of ancient and modern religions, philosophies and sciences, to enhance the development of self-reliant men and women.
