The Latino Student Fund (LSF)was founded in 1994 by a devoted group of parents and educators who felt that the needs of local Hispanic children were not being adequately met. The LSF has two signature programs: Scholars Program and Tutoring Program.
The Scholars Program supports K-12 Hispanic students access independent and parochial schools. The program includes small scholarships, support services, workshops, and networking events for parents.
The Tutoring Program runs every Saturday morning from 10am-12PM and helps student ages 4-19 receive academic support in all subject areas. Tutoring is one-on-one and based upon the individual needs of each student.
Beyond these two programs, the Latino Student Fund provides extensive outreach into the community to help educate Hispanic students and their families about the opportunities available.
Over the past 13 years, the LSF has served over 500 students. In that time, 100% of the organization's seniors have not only graduated from high school, but also gone on to higher education.
Mission: The mission of the Latino Student Fund (LSF) is to provide opportunities for a strong academic foundation for K-12 students of Hispanic descent to promote higher education and professional leadership.
