OFFENDER AID AND RESTORATION OF ARLINGTON COUNTY,

Offender Aid and Restoration of Arlington County, Inc. (OAR), is a private nonprofit organization that serves Arlington County and the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church. OAR programs include: Volunteer Services Program within the Arlington County Detention Facility and the Alexandria Detention Center, Community Service Program, Employment and Transition Services, Women Empowered for Change (WEC) Program at the Alexandria Detention Center and Men Acquiring Skills to Evolve and Return to Society (MASTERS) Program at the Alexandria Detention Center

Mission: OAR's mission is to provide community managed programs aimed at restoring the individual offender as a responsible member of the community by providing restorative programming within the Arlington and Alexandria detention facilities, alternatives to incarceration for smaller sentences, and services to ex-offenders to stabilize their re-entry into the community and help break the cycle of crime.
