Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Food & Resource Center

About

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Food & Resource Center is located at 2635 N. Shields Blvd., Moore, OK 73160.

A program of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Regional Food Bank FRC was established in 2013 and is a client-choice pantry that allows clients to select their own food, rather than receiving a pre-packed or standard bag of groceries. The Regional Food Bank FRC is one of 15 Food & Resource Centers in central and western Oklahoma. These sites provide greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables, are open longer hours and provide access to additional resources that help households become more self-sufficient.

In
2020, the Regional Food Bank FRC distributed the equivalent of more than 1.4 million meals and provided food assistance to 24,716 individuals. The site also distributes Commodities Supplemental Food Program boxes to seniors and is a Summer Feeding Program site, providing free nutritious meals and snacks to children up to the age of 18.

Volunteer jobs at the Food & Resource Center include:

  • Shopper support to assist visitors in a one-on-one setting.
  • Sorting and stocking to help maximize the shopping experience.
