CPLC Parenting Arizona provides positive parent education to all Arizona families through Home Visitation, parenting classes, community outreach, family resource centers and school based & after school programs.
Organizational Overview: CPLC Parenting Arizona, was founded in 1977, and is a program of Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC). CPLC Parenting Arizona has been a leader in providing Arizona's families the tools and techniques to raise healthy and successful children. CPLC Parenting Arizona provides family support services statewide through parent education; Home Visitation, Community Based Parenting Classes, School Based Programs and Parent Aide services. Parenting Arizona provides family support services in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Tuba City, Winslow, Guadalupe and the Navajo Nation. Home Visitation: Through our Healthy Families and Parents As Teachers curriculum and monthly visits parents are given the tools and techniques to help their children as their first and most important teache r. From child development education, positive parenting tips, school readiness, hearing & vision screenings to community resources Parenting Arizona helps families find positive solutions.Parenting Classes: Parent Education classes are made available to parents & caregivers in various communities throughout Arizona. These free classes help promote healthy relationships between family members.
Family Resource Centers: Based out of Guadalupe,AZ and in our various school based sites these resource centers provide families with much needed resources and support. School Based Programs: Parents of children in Coconino County's Flagstaff & Leupp Unified School District are provided various parent education programs. Parent Aide Services: Through state agency support, CPLC Parenting Arizona provides transport services to foster children to and from supervised visits. These services provide parents the opportunity to positively engage their children and give the parents learning tools to put them in better position to raise their children.
Oral Health Initiative: Arizona dental provider & families can better connect through an expansive and easy to use dental provider/client database. The website is www.kidsazdental.org.
