Hospice of the Valley's mission focuses on caring. Hospice care treats the whole person, as well as nurturing the family. When a loved one has a life-limiting illness, the extended family also needs support. A team of professionals helps the patient stay pain-free, comfortable and fully engaged.
As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to serve our patients, their families and our agency in a variety of ways. The greatest volunteer need is to serve our patients in their homes or in one of our many inpatient units. Patient care volunteers offer companionship, support, transportation and practical services to patients and their families. Other opportunities for service include pet connections team, clerical support, bereavement support, special events, fundraising and Ryan House pediatrics. . Our volunteer training course is offered several times a year. The success of the volunteer program is dependent upon your ongoing commitment to our patients and the agency.
