Faith in Action Programs

We administer three programs:

The Family Friends Program recruits and trains active adult volunteers to visit nearly every week with children with special needs and their families.Volunteer Caregivers for the Faith in Action Program help older adults with light housekeeping, gardening, minor home repair, meal and library book delivery, transportation to appointments and friendly visiting.Strong for Life volunteers coach older adults, either individually or in a small group, three times a week in an easy to follow exercise routine designed to improve strength, function, and balance in older adults.

Mission: The mission of Faith in Action is to help people who face challenges related to health or aging by coordinating volunteer efforts. We serve frail older adults, children with special needs, and their families so they can thrive at home for as long as possible.
