About
Portland’s only internationally focused market, LIFM provides fresh, affordable, and culturally unique produce to the diverse Lents community and offers farm-direct sales opportunities for immigrant, emerging farmers, and new business owners. In addition to standard market produce, the market features a variety of unique fresh produce from Hmong, Latino, & Russian farmers.
The market runs from June through October at SE 91st and Foster in Portland, OR.
LIFM is also host to Food Scouts, a unique program for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Food Scout participants receive $2 in tokens each week to spend on vegetables, fruit and food-producing plants. The Food Scouts booth also offers hands-on activities each week focused on farms, food and fun. Food Scouts is a partnership between Zenger Farm and Whole Foods Market.
