Ice Age Trail Alliance

About

The Ice Age Park & Trail Foundation (IAPTF) is a nonprofit, volunteer and member based organization that supports the thousands of volunteers who work to build and maintain the Ice Age Trail, one of only eight National Scenic Trails in the country.

The IAPTF also works with partners, including the National Park Service and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, to acquire land over which volunteers can build the best possible hiking trail.

The IAPTF has 21 volunteer chapters throughout Wisconsin along the route of the Ice Age Trail. These chapters organize and execute Trail work days and group hikes, along with other events designed to raise public awareness of the Trail.

Mission: The mission of the Ice Age Park & Trail Foundation is to create, support and protect a thousand-mile footpath tracing world-renowned geologic formations across Wisconsin -- the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
