At The Neighborhood Academy, we provide students with a private-school, college-preparatory education they would not otherwise be able to obtain. Our curriculum and program intentionally focus on providing a college-preparatory education to students who demonstrate financial need. To help our students succeed academically, we also provide counseling, transportation, three meals a day, and assistance with emergency needs like medical care. The breadth of our services to students is based on the belief that there are times students face unique challenges and need much more than "school" to learn. The Neighborhood Academy is more than a school. The Academy is dedicated to developing the minds, bodies, and spirits of our students so that they become fully productive members of our society. By so doing our students will break the cycle of generational poverty that has held them captive and deprived society of the value of their lives.
Mission: "The Neighborhood Academy is a faith-based, college preparatory independent school whose mission is to break the generational cycle of poverty by preparing low-income youth for college and citizenship."
