Pennsylvania Women Work is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds achieve economic self-sufficiency through job readiness, education, training and employment. PA Women Work provides free services to thousands of women each year.
PA Women Works primary emphasis is to provide comprehensive education, job training, and job placement services to single parents, displaced homemakers, low-income heads of households and women in transition through its New Choices Program.
PA Women Work provides both fiscal and programmatic oversight for 13 New Choices locations across the Commonwealth. The primary course offered by the New Choices program teaches job skills, addresses barriers to employment, and assesses skills and interests. Program participants are taught how to set realistic goals and are given the tools to help achieve them.
Mission: The mission of Pennsylvania Women Work is to promote the economic self-sufficiency and ensure the empowerment of single parents, displaced homemakers and individuals in transition and to advocate for educational and economic equity.
