About

Description
RESULTS is a non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization committed to creating the public and political will to end hunger and poverty. There are groups of RESULTS volunteers all over the U.S. and international partners as well. The Raleigh RESULTS group focuses on the following issues:

Global HealthGlobal EducationMicrocreditForeign Aid

We also focus occasionally on domestic issues like:

Health CareEarly childhood education for low-income childrenTax credits for impoverished AmericansSNAP ("Food Stamp") benefits

RESULTS partners hold public education events about poverty and active democracy, generate media coverage of our issues and lobby directly with members of Congress and their staffs. We empower individuals to have breakthroughs in exercising their personal and political power.

Our core strength lies in the personal relationships we build with our members of Congress, their staffs and our fellow partners across the nation. We are known for our effectiveness, persistence and professionalism in our work.

We typically meet at least once per month on the second Saturday of the month. All other actions can be taken on your own time. If you wish to join a dedicated group of individuals that regularly speak out on behalf of those living in poverty and have an active hand in changing the world, contact us today and get involved!

Mission: Our mission is to create the public and political will to end poverty by empowering individuals to exercise their personal and political power for change. We combine the voices of our passionate grassroots activists with strategic grass-tops efforts to leverage millions of dollars for programs and improved policies that give low-income people the health, education, and opportunity they need to thrive.
