About

Description
Humane Society for Boone County Indiana

Boone County has no operating animal shelter.

Our animals are sheltered by volunteer foster families. While we are temporarily limited in the services we provide, we have assisted many pets, with numbers assisted increasing each year. Our many dedicated volunteers help us by giving shelter and care to those animals in need. HSforBC provides food, vaccinations, spaying and neutering for all animals in our care.

The Humane Society for Boone County uses public events to interact with the community and showcase the adoptable pets. Activities include adoption days at local businesses throughout the year, as well as special events, such as Lebanon's Back to the Fifties Festival and Zionsville's Fall Festival. None of the events would be successful without our dedicated volunteers.

Mission: The Humane Society for Boone County was organized by the citizens of Boone County to continue the task of animal rescue for homeless domestic animals. Public awareness and fundraising to build or purchase a modern adoption shelter and clinic - Operation Shelter - as well as rescue and adoption are our primary missions.
