Volunteers support Second Helpings mission of Food Rescue, Job Training, and Hunger Relief by preparing meals in our kitchen, delivering meals to our agencies, and helping in various office functions.
Every day Second Helpings' utilizes 15-20 volunteers in the kitchen to prepare over 3,700 meals which are sent to other local non-profits. In addition, between 10-14 drivers and driver companions are need daily to deliver those meals to the recipient programs. With a growing list of agencies, more volunteers are needed continually to keep up with the demand for meals in the community. In addition, volunteer opportunities are available to help in the office/receptionist area to answer the phone and greet guests at the front door. Experience in Microsoft Office is required.
