The burdens of cancer are reduced by providing free patient services, cancer transportation to and from treatment; wigs and turbans; breast prostheses; nutritional supplements; medical supplies; screenings for breast, cervical colon, oral and prostate cancer; educational programs and materials about different types of cancers, cancer risks and prevention. Little Red Door also sponsors Camp Little Red Door, a week-long summer camp for children ages 8-18 surviving cancer; and the Minority Cancer Awareness Coalition (MCAC), focused on reducing the rates of cancer incidence and death among minorities. As an independent organization, 100 percent of all funding benefits the local community.
Mission: Established in 1945, Little Red Door Cancer Agency works to reduce the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer for medically under served residents of greater Indianapolis.
