Assistant Coach Position:

An assistant coach for The Fit Kids Foundation is responsible for working with the lead coach to execute all aspects of each class. Assistant coaches are expected to be familiar with the Fit Kids curriculum and able to assist the lead coach in various capacities from setting up equipment to working executing parts of the class. Assistant coaches are not expected to pick up equipment or return equipment to the Fit Kids office after class. Assistant coaches should bring the same level of energy and enthusiasm to each class as a lead coach and represent the Fit Kids Foundation and our mission with honesty and integrity. As we require from all of our coaches, we want assistant coaches to lead by example and to therefore embrace the value of a healthy, active lifestyle.

Mission: Our mission is to promote a healthy, active lifestyle among children in underserved communities in the Bay Area by providing various opportunities to be involved in organized sports and fitness classes. We hope to inspire an early love of sports and physical activity that will serve as the foundation for a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously helping to build positive relationships, self-confidence, independence and the ability to deal with adversity.
