Sherwood Forest Camp

Sherwood Forest Camp, established in 1937, is a private not for profit, United Way funded organization serving economically disadvantaged children. In the summer, we work with children ages 7 - 16 in our mini camp, boys and girls camp and leadership program. While at camp, children participate in a variety of activities: swimming, canoeing, pottery, arts & crafts, hiking, camping, climbing/rappelling and sports. Through our camping programs, children learn how to: build strong relationships, take personal responsibility, solve problems creatively, resolve conflicts peacefully, accept new challenges, be positive leaders through service and respect all people and our environment.

Mission: At Sherwood Forest Camp, we believe that all children have the gifts and potential to be positive, productive and contributing members of their communities and the larger world.
