Watershed Nature Center, a unique city park within the City of Edwardsville, is comprised of over forty acres of wetlands, prairies, and upland and lowland forests.
The Center was founded in 1991 as a result of volunteer efforts from community members dedicated to setting aside a place for enjoyment of natural habitats and specifically environmental education for children and adults.
Watershed Nature Center is owned by the City of Edwardsville and managed by the Nature Preserve Foundation, Inc. As a nonprofit educational center we rely upon our community of members and volunteers who support our mission.
The trails are free to the public and accessible from dawn to dusk.
Mission: Our Mission is to promote environmental stewardship and provide opportunities for the community to understand and appreciate nature.
