Communities In Schools believes all students deserve five basic resources: A one-on-one relationship with a caring adult; A safe place to learn and grow; A healthy start and a healthy future; A marketable skill to use upon graduation; A chance to give back to peers and the community. Communities In Schools is part of the nation's largest stay-in-school network helping young people continue their education. Some of the challenges students face include family conflict, poor self esteem, drug and alcohol abuse, juvenile crime, illiteracy, poor health, and teen pregnancy.
Mission: Our mission is to help young people stay in school, successfully learn and prepare for life by connecting needed community resources with schools.
