Description
o Promote improved quality of life for patients through understanding of the illness and how to control them.

o Be an advocate for sufferers from asthma and other allergic diseases and their families.

o Educate the community about the prevalence and implications of allergic and immunologic diseases.

o Encourage continuous education among health professionals about asthma and other allergic diseases.

o Support effective, comprehensive, and medically appropriate treatment including open access to all prescribed medications.

o Encourage physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to volunteer time for the care of economically deprived individuals who have asthma and other allergic diseases.

o Support scientific research of asthma and allergic diseases.

Support national efforts to gain better control over the disease through education, research, and service programs.

Mission: The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Greater Kansas City Chapter (AAFA-KC) is committed to enhancing and saving the lives of asthma and allergy sufferers through support, advocacy, education, research and access to treatment.
